Breathtaking Mixed Media Vintage Button Necklace

Absolutely breathtaking Mixed Media Vintage Button Necklace. The buttons used in this beautiful piece are Celluloid, Bakelite and Glass. It is constructed using plastic tubular thread and coated nickel plated wire, which has been threaded through the buttons, where possible, for additional security. Among the many techniques evident in this creation are carved and moulded Bakelite, extruded Celluloid, moulded glass, Bohemian glass and hand-constructed Celluloid flowers. The clasp is a brass loop fastener. Not only is this unique necklace beautiful to look at and wonderful to wear, the buttons used in its construction are rare and highly sought after by collectors.
