Luscious Cherry Red Vintage Button Necklace

This absolutely luscious cherry red Art Deco inspired Vintage Button Necklace, looks good enough to eat! The buttons used in its construction are mainly Celluloid with some Bakelite from the 1920s – 30s. There are an interesting variety of techniques featured in this piece including pierced Celluloid, carved Bakelite, carved Celluloid, inlaid Celluoid, Celluloid tight top and Lucite. The necklace is constructed using plastic tubular thread and coated nickel plated wire, with a brass parrot clasp fastener. Not only is this unique necklace beautiful to look at and wonderful to wear, the buttons used in its construction are rare and highly sought after by collectors.
