Store Policies at Mad on Mod

MAD on MOD is a one-woman online business and I have been collecting the vintage clothes, jewellery, artefacts and buttons, for sale on these pages for many years. Every item offered is a quality piece, it would not be on my site otherwise. I endeavour to describe pieces as honestly as possible and additional photographs of all items are available on request.

 

Everything I offer for sale is priced at market value and is not open to further negotiation unless specifically mentioned in the listing. Occasionally, I will reduce the price on items or invite offers, to make way for more treasures from my store. Prices are exclusive of shipping and I include a small handling charge to cover the cost of packaging materials. 

The items for sale are all vintage and therefore pre-loved, this means they are not in new condition, although some may be described as ‘mint’, meaning vintage but appearing unused. The scale I use for describing the condition of items, appears below.

                      Returns                                                                           

 

I will accept returns but only if the item received is categorically different to its description. I pack each item with care and have been selling on eBay and other forums for many years and stand by my packing methods and materials. I encourage buyers to take out postal insurance to protect valuable items in transit and provide tracking information. Items will be sent by Australia Post unless otherwise agreed upon by myself and the buyer. Postal Insurance is at the buyers request and own expense. For this reason, I accept no responsibility for damage or loss of items in transit. You can buy from the MAD on MOD site with confidence that your precious purchase has been packaged and handled with the utmost care before shipping.

 

               Shipping and Sales Tax

I will happily post overseas and international buyers should request a shipping quote before purchasing items. Items will be posted via Australia Post unless the buyer requests otherwise. Insurance is available at the buyer's request. Local pick-up is available, please email me for details. Prices shown are exclusive of Sales Tax, which will be added to invoices automatically.

              Covid 19 and Health Info

 

Items are generally sanitised before posting. Some early materials however, have a negative reaction to sanitising chemicals. These materials include: celluloid, papier-mâché, early bakelite, metals and silk, therefore items made from these materials will not be sanitised but are guaranteed to be as clean as possible . I operate in a Covid 19 and smoke free environment and endeavour to ensure my treasures are in the best possible condition before sending them off to clients. I also provide care instructions with all products. I strongly recommend however, that buyers disinfect packages on arrival, before opening. This will help ensure you remain Covid-safe.

                   Payment Methods

 

My preferred payment method is bank transfer within Australia and bank details will be provided with invoices. I also accept PayPal, Credit Card payments and cash for local pick-ups.

 

SCALE OF CONDITION

1. MINT                          Item is vintage but appears unused

2. EXCELLENT             Item is vintage with no apparent damage but may have slight signs of use

3. VERY GOOD             Item is vintage and has some signs of use

4. GOOD                        Item is vintage and has obvious signs of use

5. NWT                          Item is vintage but still has original tags attached (will appear with one of the above categories)

6.NWOT                        Item is vintage and is 'new' however has no tags attached
